Hello, Families!

School Portrait Day is just around the corner.

I'm Rebecca, and I am grateful for the opportunity to create fine art school portraits of your children. My goal is to provide a smooth, personal, and fun experience to all of the schools and families who are trusting me with photographing their students this year.

What is a Fine Art School Portrait?

Fine art school portraits offer a fresh take on traditional school photos, focusing on simplicity and authenticity.  They are where my documentary photography style meets the beloved tradition of school photos.  Rather than using busy backgrounds and forced smiles, these portraits feature a classic grey backdrop that lets each child's personality shine. Kids are encouraged to express themselves naturally, without pressure to smile, resulting in timeless and genuine images.

What Should My Child Wear?

Please avoid neon colors, and clothing with graphics or words.  The most important thing is that your child feels good in what they're wearing!

How Will I Order?

Within two weeks of your child's photo day, you will receive a link to a class gallery featuring 3-5 images of your child in both color and black-and-white. You get to choose which photos to print, and you can mix and match. You can order prints, canvas wraps, and digital files directly through the secure gallery. The gallery will remain open for two weeks, and all orders must be placed within that period.  I will send you reminders to make sure you don't miss the deadline. The process is straightforward and convenient, and I will be available for all of your questions!

Will the Portraits of My Child be Private?

Every parent will receive a password-protected gallery with full control over who can view it. I  do not have families sign release forms; if I am interested in using a photo of your child for promotional purposes (on social media and/or my website to illustrate the type of work that I do), I will reach out to you directly to ask, and absolutely respect your preferences in terms of your child's presence on the internet.
