You don't want to keep repeating the same patterns.
Maybe you're replaying a conversation from last week. Maybe you're putting off one you know you need to have because you don't know how it'll land. Maybe even when you say what you want to say, it still turns into an argument or just doesn't feel resolved.
Maybe you've noticed the same tension building in a relationship, and you're not sure how to deal with it.
Noticing is one thing, but knowing what to do in the moment is another.
That's where this course comes in.
Imagine having the conversation you've been avoiding, saying what's true without it turning into a fight, and walking away feeling closer instead of drained. this is all possible for you.
Conflict has a reputation for being something to avoid.
But tension and friction are a normal part of being in relationship with other people.
The real question isn’t how to avoid conflict; it’s how to decrease conflict, and how to stay connected when it inevitably shows up.
With the right tools, conflict becomes a doorway to understanding each other better.

I've studied empathetic listening before, and that was a good starting point, but this feels like the next step, strategies and feelings work that is really beneficial in the relationships where I've been struggling."

"When I approach conversations this way, with my husband, for example, we are realizing that oftentimes our 'conflicts' are just misunderstandings. We were always both quick to put our defenses up and it ended up creating a lot of distance between us, making it even harder to communicate and connect. Now that we have the tools from your course, we've been able to be more open with each other and are closer than we have been in a long time."
This is a four-week experience.
Each week includes about an hour of material you can move through on your own time, along with an option to add the weekly live coaching calls on Zoom where we go deeper, ask questions, and work through real situations together.
The cohort is intentionally small, so the space feels personal and focused.
In this opening module, you’ll learn how needs and feelings shape the way conversations unfold. You’ll explore how emotions can signal when needs are being met or unmet, and how noticing both can bring clarity to tense moments.
Week 1
You’ll learn the difference between needs and the strategies people use to meet them. While needs are often shared, the strategies people reach for can conflict. Understanding this distinction opens the door to more flexible solutions.
Week 2
In this module, you’ll explore the difference between observation and evaluation and why that distinction matters. Through a real-life style example and debrief, you’ll see how subtle shifts in language can change the direction of an interaction.
Week 3
In the final module, you’ll apply the ideas from the course to real situations. You’ll practice reflecting on challenging conversations and explore how small shifts in awareness can influence the tone and direction of a relationship.
Week 4
I teach this because it is transformative. It is surprising how powerful the impact of such simple skills can be, and this is why I love to teach it. The number of times I've heard about relationships struggling and I've bit my tongue when I immediately see a million simple things that could've been done/said differently that might have shifted everything. Everyone can learn this, everyone can benefit from it. But the most important thing to me is that it helps people to know to know themselves better, and to therefore allow themselves to be seen by others, usually their most intimate relationships. If you have ever felt truly seen by another person, you know how powerful that is. This work is directly related to that feeling. It is life changing.
I’ve taught versions of this work in small groups for years, both in professional and community settings. I’ve seen how quickly conversations can shift when someone learns to recognize what’s happening beneath the surface.
This course is inspired by Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication. This work feels meaningful to me because I’ve seen how much difference these small shifts can make: at work, at home, and in the broader communities we’re part of.
You don’t need to eliminate conflict to have strong relationships.
You need the capacity to stay connected inside it.
If you’re ready to build that, I’d love to have you in this room.
