Natural family photography that lets you be yourselves
Imagine spending a stretch of time just being together — no matching outfits, no checklist, no need to perform. That’s what these sessions are: a chance to slow the pace, reconnect, and give your family the gift of presence before this season shifts into the next. If you're someone who likes a little guidance or hopes for a few classic photos too, there’s space for that here — keep scrolling.
Curious what a session could look like for your family?
Reach out and tell me a little about your family. We’ll find a session that feels right for you. Family sessions begin at $600, with full pricing and session details shared after you inquire.
A few weeks later, you’ll receive your full gallery — hand-edited, story-driven images that bring you right back to the day. From there, you can download, share, and order prints or albums if you’d like.
This is where it all unfolds naturally. You simply spend time together; I’ll take care of everything else. The goal isn’t to perform — it’s to be present.
Once your session is booked, I’ll help with the details — timing, what to expect, and how to prepare without overthinking it. No need for matching outfits or big productions — just come as you are.
A calm, easy experience for families
Not really a candid family? I do offer shorter sessions. Think: outdoors, sunset, guidance.

You don’t need to prepare anything. Documentary sessions flow from the ordinary things you already do as a family. Some families like to have a couple of familiar activities in mind — not to stage moments, but to give everyone something natural to move through while the real moments unfold. Check out this short guide: 10 Activities for your Documentary Family Session (Spoiler: they’re things you probably already do.)

Most Family Sessions land around two hours, with plenty of room for things to unfold naturally. The aim isn’t to watch the clock — it’s to give your family enough space to settle in, be yourselves, and create a gallery that feels honest and connected. I’ll guide you through what to expect ahead of time so the pacing feels comfortable and unrushed. Short & sweet sessions last up to 30 minutes. See more here.

In documentary photography, your kids don’t have to perform or pretend. There’s nothing to “cooperate” with. They can play, explore, and just be themselves, and I’ll photograph the real moments that come from that. Many families tell me this is the part they appreciate most — the session feels natural instead of stressful. If time is your concern, the Short & Sweet Session might be just right for you!

If you’d like a few images where everyone looks at the camera, we can absolutely do that in a Family Session. I’m happy to set aside some time at the end of your session so you have both the documentary moments and some simple, camera-facing photo of everyone together, and various combinations of family members. NOTE: If you want mostly guided portraits, the Short & Sweet Session is a great fit for you!
What if we also want a few posed photos?
"Instead of stiff poses, she followed our family as we did the things we love most, preserving the genuine joy and connection we share. The result was a collection of stunning photos that truly reflect who we are as a family and will bring us so much joy for years to come."
